For FY2013, HRSA, Bureau of Health Professions, Division of Nursing, released a new Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) titled Nursing Workforce Diversity (NWD) available at http://www07.grants.gov/search/search.do;jsessionid=JvlcQvvJlmxPVQyyv0H2P2JrRcGJ1yvfHxQL5bLGJ3TlP4D9TfJT!-2129049045?oppId=214973&mode=VIEW.
To demonstrate the Division of Nursing’s focus and commitment to the social determinants of health and health equity, the FOA now requires NWD applicants to propose innovative workforce diversity projects that offer multi-level, evidence-based approaches that incorporate the social determinants of health into strategies to diversify the nursing workforce and move towards health equity.
We would like to invite you to broadly share this FOA with your contacts. Eligible applicants for this FOA are academic health centers, State or local governments, community-based organizations, tribes and tribal organizations, accredited schools of nursing, and nursing centers. We are also looking for qualified reviewers as well.
